Freedom with some goals, that's what make Vice City Fun. I'm rather lazy right now so this review will be short.

Gameplay: 10
The whole game is abour stealing someone's car, drive and do whatever you want. You'll have an entire city to explore, there are missions to follow, secrets to follow, weapons to use, etc. Vice City is a step ahead from Grand Theft Auto 3. In Vice City, finally you can shoot car tires out, or kill the driver with a rifle, or smash the car up with the new melee weapons like hammers, screwdrivers and chainsaws. Since you're stealing other people cars, obviously the law will be after you. The police AI is dramatically improved since GTA3. The police will chase after you for a VERY long time, even when you are at the bottom of the WANTED list. The police will also perform those police driving like tail-gating you or ramming you on the side or use spike strips to slow you down. A new ablity in Vice City is buying property. Buying over a property will enable you a new place to save, keep cars, or even more missions. All this in one game makes it VERY entertaining.



Graphics: 9
Vice City is set in the 1980s. So everything is very retro and neon lights everywhere. Demostrated in the picture above, you can see the beauty of the graphic engine. Amazing if you ask me. Stable FPS, light reflecting on the shiny surface of cars, is really nice. But some parts of the city is rather blocky and flat. Since you'll be most likely fleeing from the law, you won't be paying attention to it. The engine also renders it's cut-scenes in-game, and it turned out excellent. Sparks fly when your car is running on flat tires, smoke from the car exhaust, glowing lights. Your eyes will be having a really good time watching the game.


Sound: 9
I can't comment much here. Everything seems to be at the right time, great voice acting, great radio stations, great sounds of engines, and a added bonus for the PC, you can hear your MP3s in the game.

Replayablity: 10
There is so many things to do in the big city, when will it end?! Infinite taxis,police, firefighter missions will keep you busy. And yes, running from the police is very nice. As long as you remember to save before pissing them off. If you can't take blood, don't play this game, it is violent.

Ultra fun. The freedom in this game is almost endless. If only the police in the game would ignore me when I'm on a killing spree. Car chases are extremely fun though I would like a very long car chase with the police than they sending reinforcements like the army after me... :)
